Mahalo Banking is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy outlines how we manage the information associated with our
SMS-based MFA services delivered on behalf of your credit union.
Information Collected
When you use your credit union’s digital banking platform and receive MFA codes via SMS, we collect limited technical data:
- Your mobile phone number (provided by your credit union),
- Timestamp of message delivery
- Delivery success or failure status.
We do not collect, store, or transmit names, Social Security Numbers, account numbers, or OTP message content.
How We Use the Information
The information is used exclusively to:
- Deliver one-time passcodes (OTP) for secure login,
- Monitor system performance and message delivery,
- Support fraud prevention and system troubleshooting.
We do not use SMS data for marketing or advertising. We do not sell or share your phone number or SMS data with third parties.
Data Retention
Delivery metadata is retained only as long as necessary for compliance, fraud prevention, and technical analysis. OTP content is not stored by Mahalo Banking.

If you wish to update or remove your mobile number, or if you have questions about how your information is handled, please contact your credit union directly.
